God IS an Alien.

But Is He An Astronaut?.

Yes, we cannot deny that God is an Alien. The dictionary discribes an alien as "not of this nation", or "not of this planet".

If God created this planet, then he cannot be from it.

However, the question that many are now asking, is, is God an astronaut?. This is a different matter.

Some speculate that God was really a visitor from another planet. He was a humanoid who came to Earth and perhaps, taught us new technologies. Perhaps he played a part in the developement of our species or even tampered with our evolution.

This is not really a theory liked by the deeply religious. This could be that it may mean that God is not really listening to our every thought or watching our every deed. Even though he could be watching the planet from afar, he couldn't actually respond to all our actions. It would also mean that he would not be there to judge us, as we depart our mortal lives. SEE http://hubpages.com/hub/Heaven-or-Hell-Who-Decides .

The more traditional view of God, is an ever present life force that continuously watches over each and everyone of us at all times. This view includes God creating the universe. Well, this would mean that he was from another universe or even another dimension. He would probably of been created spontaneously from pure energy, without any form. He would probably have the ability, to be anywhere, in any of the universes and dimensions, at any or all the time.

Ponder this. "God made man in his own image". If this means that God made us to look like he does, then surely, God is the first of the two descriptions. A member of an advanced race of humanoids from a distant planet. However, if, "God made man in his own image", means that he made us to his own specifications, not leaving us to natural evolution, then, God could be the second of the two. What need would he have for canine teeth and a digestive system.

Personally, I don't think it matters. I believe that the act of having faith is more important than the need to verify the validity of that faith. It is faith, that consoles us during times of mourning. It is faith that sustains us when times are bad. It is faith that gives us our strength and it is faith that makes us whole.

God gave us curiousity and I believe he purposely left his identity vague. I believe that he did this for two reasons. Firstly, in order that we would question our faith and in so doing, make it stronger. Secondly, that we would strive to find his true identity and in so doing, stimulate our minds, so that we can evolve into the beings that we are destined to be.

For those who say, "I know who God is", "I know what God means" or "I know what God expects of us". You should say, "you believe you know.........", because it would be very arrogant of us to pressume to know, what God is thinking.

God gave us many things. As well as curiousity, he gave us a sense of humour, love, compassion and the world's greatest mystery.

Always remember. GODS GIFT TO US IS EDUCATION. OUR GIFT TO GOD, IS HOW WE USE IT.
