Medicine of the Gods

In my hub “The Alien Emperor of China” I told of how Emperor Huang-Di {The Yellow Emperor 2697-2598 B.C.}, is said to have introduced Acupuncture, for medicinal purposes to the people of China.

This claim is supported by a remarkable book “Huang Ti Nei Ching Su Wen” [The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine}. This has later been referred to as the Bible of ancient Chinese medicine. Although this book has been accredited to him, it is believed that it was only started by him and in reality took 1500 years to complete.

Although in China acupuncture had been in use for centuries, when in about 500 B.C. Pien Chueh successfully awoke the Chinese Prince of Kuo from a coma using acupuncture, many people considered him a magician as they thought the Prince had died.

A Dutch doctor Wilhelm der Rhye of the East India Company, first brought accounts of acupuncture to the West in 1712 but it was not taken seriously. Western doctors claimed that it was probably accompanied by some kind of hypnosis, which is unlikely as Mongolians are known to use it in the treatment of their horses.

Recently it was taken more seriously when an American Heart Specialist Dr. E. Gray Dimond witnessed the removal of a persons’ lung, whilst acupuncture was the only form of anesthetic used. The Doctor said he could see the heart beating whilst the patient was talking and the operation was even paused for the patient to eat, after he complained of being hungry.

Where did acupuncture first come from? Yes, to China it was said to have been brought by The Yellow Emperor and they also say that he came from the Stars. So how is it that now, archeologists are finding evidence that acupuncture was also used by Eskimos, ancient Egyptians and the rural Bantu in Africa. Now a recently discovered tribe of cannibals in Brazil have been found to use acupuncture.

It is hard to believe that such a precise practice requiring intricate knowledge of the human nervous system could have been self taught separately in such diverse locations.

Did they all, like the Chinese; have help from someone who came from above?
