NASA and the Doomsday Cloud

The Cloud

According to Alexey Dmitriev, a Russian Scientist, our Solar System is due to pass through an interstellar energy cloud and NASA knows it.

Firstly, is it co-incidence, that Dmitriev, anticipates that we shall enter the cloud in December 2012?

Supposedly this energy cloud is already having effects as we approach it. It is supposedly responsible for the increase in solar activity, the rapid changes in climate around the World, the big storms in the United States, the mass animal die offs, a change in magnetic fields and the melting of ice on Mars.

Apparently Dmitriev is not alone in thinking NASA know about this.

If it is true, what can NASA or any other Space Agency do about it?

The answer is nothing.

The End?

The Consequences

It is speculated that this strange nebulous cloud of energy is fuelling the Sun into more activity and as we go through the cloud the Sun will erupt into a final burst of energy.

It has also been speculated that this final burst of energy will not destroy the Solar System but could have a massive effect on today’s technology, basically taking us back to a level comparable to, the 1800’s.

Again, what can NASA do about it?

Again the answer is nothing and perhaps that is why they are “playing it down”, avoiding an outbreak of mass hysteria.

Are they doing the right thing?

For once I would have to say yes, they probably are. With a massive solar flare occurring this week, NASA warned that communications and satellites may be affected and we should prepare ourselves accordingly. As we approach nearer the cloud, this will probably occur more regularly, so that when the big one happens, we are at least half prepared for it.

The real question is: Have we already been too spoiled? How many of us could survive in the settings of the 1800’s?
