United States

We are hearing that in the United States Mit Romney is trying to reach $800 million for his Presidential campaign and President Obama is hoping to have even more.

Why the big spending?

OK I have heard that it is OK as all the money is being spent in the US, it isn’t going abroad it is helping to create jobs.

I think that that is a crock. Firstly, OK, the money is initially being spent in the US but where does it go then? Most of the money is spent on TV or newspaper advertizing and what happens to that money? It goes to the wealthy elite media owners who then put it in their offshore accounts.

The media elite are happy and encouraging the bickering and expensive charges and counter charges. They are manipulating both the politicians and the public and the current politicians are doing nothing to stop it, why?

They are afraid of the “bad press” which could cost them their ticket on the gravy train.

France

In France they are preparing for a Presidential race and no candidate is expected to spend more than about $16 million, how come?

In France candidates are not allowed to use the media in their campaigns, as it is seen to be able to be prejudice in favor of the one with the most money.

Now I don’t see how something like that could be prejudice in one country but not another. So is it the French that are wrong or are the US?

Could it be that the French are right but the elite of the US do not want to admit it or perhaps they don’t care?

Conclusion

To me it would seem that the US elite are tightly entwined with the media moguls. They do not really care who wins as they will ultimately control any successful politician. However, in order for them to increase their wealth and thereby their ability to control the politicians, they need expensive elections which filter money from all walks of life into their bank accounts.

The money spent in these elections may not immediately leave the country but neither does it help any of the sick, poor, unemployed or any other average American voter.

So what we have is: the elite [plus others] give the potential politicians money. In paying for their campaign, the potential politicians give the elite the amassed money by way of campaign expenditures. The elite have made money but now are owed favors by the elected politicians, who in order to pay back; have to become puppets to the elite, instead of champions to the poor.

So under the present system, does it matter who gets elected: Republican or Democrat, one candidate or another?

No it doesn’t but who will change it?

Not the elite. Not the politicians and certainly not the media.

The United States has become a dictatorship of the elite, with elections being held merely to increase their own wealth and strengthen their grip on politicians. Also of course, as a good international propaganda tool.
